So i wanted to buy this laptop but after reading some posts about how some users encountered a black screen after 10 mins of usage and a few buggy issues, i am really not sure whether to buy this laptop and if anyone found a solution to get them fixed. Can someone enlighten me about this laptop please

From what I have read, that was an isolated incident. There are always a few duds out there, but asus has a great warranty and getting a replacement is quick. I wouldn't worry too much about those issues.

I'm confident that if you take ANY model of ANY brand out there, and look on the internet, you will find someone complaining of it being DOA or dying on the first day.

It is a statistical law, part of the way in which the Universe works, which dictates that for any large enough numbers of units of technology, some will have manufacturing defects. So it is meaningless to worry about that.

That is not saying that the G50V does not have issues that are NOT isolated incidents. None of them are really a killer, but depending on your preferences they may worry you. I would advise you to check the G50 owner's lounge 1st post, and the links therein. Of course, if some G50V machines have those issues, it does not mean that G50Vt will have them. But there is the likelihood.
