(Disclaimer: I believe I've researched as much as I could before making a new post on this issue.)

I picked up my G50Vt-X6 earlier this week and have been noticing this problem that I seem to be missing keys when I type. Essentially, additional keys aren't registered when 2 keys are pressed. For example, when s and d are pressed, then spacebar doesn't register at all.

The G50Vt-X6 comes with the 209 BIOS (confirmed) by the way, and I assume the latest ATK utilies (unconfirmed).

Having dig around in forum, I realized that there is this Fn+g aka "game mode" hidden hotkey that allows multiple keypress; however, it introduces additional keystrokes such as "z", and since I have "z" binded to an ability (in WoW), the solution is not perfect for me, and I am trying to avoid moving the "z" key away as 1) all the other keys in the vicinity are taken, and 2) don't want the added "z"s when chatting.

So, is there a better workaround to the problem, in case I missed the discussion somewhere? Thanks.

No, there's no other workaround except to hit Fn+G again and turn that mode off... it's never been fixed :(

Wouldn't hitting Fn-g simply toggle back to the mode that doesn't allow me to press s + d + spacebar at the same time? If so, that is not very acceptable either.

Out of the 2 options, I think I'd rather spacebar not working, then to introduce additional unintended keys.

I will try to contact Asus regarding this issue, although I am sure many already have done it for months.

Right, neither option is a total solution. That's what I meant when I said it's not been fixed. :(
