    BIOS 210
Solved the bug that the HDD password can't set after a warm reset when there are two HDDs installed in the system.

Hmmm.... I didn't even know this issue existed? o_O For now I will stick with v209

I am running it and so far okay.

Have not used the onboard keyboard enough to know if it still lags as I gave up and started using external.

    ***UPDATE***

I can confirm that the lag is not any better on this new bios so if you upgrade in hopes to get rid of they keyboard lag dont bother. I almost want to say its worse.... Back to the external keyboard I go.... What a waste for a laptop... You have to pick if you want to type good or have a good touchpad.... lol

Nope its not that, have always had that installed.

I have had 1 G50v and 3 G50vt and they all act the same except my first g50v which I returned for the vt model as it had better video... All had diffrent bios so that dont seem to matter and all have tried diffrent drivers ect... Only way around it right now is just take touchpad drivers off and use standard ones, but than its to darn sensitive and jumps around.

Oh well... One day they may fix it all the way, lol

Depends if your notebook is one of the ones effected by the issue and also how you game.

If you dont type much in the game and just use a few combo keys and mouse your fine.

Its only an issue if you can type 50+WPM. Slow typers wont have any problem also.

I type a lot and type 70+WPM so for me its an issue.

Its not that its keyboard lag I would say but more that it misses keystroks every so often.

    It would look like this:

Thiss a tet as you cansee someof te kes are missing orsme have no spaces.

It should say "This is a test as you can see some of the keys are missing or some have no spaces."

I typed the first line on the onboard keyboard, second on my external keyboard. If I uninstall touchpad drivers or disable touchpad in bios its fine. Others have confimred this already.

It also only seems to be an issue if the notebook has been on for more than an hour. If I just start it up for the day and its been off, I can use the onboard keyboard for a little okay, once she warms up she skips.

Playing games its fine also so long as your not chatting, as if you are you look like you cant spell... But for key combos and moving and what not its fine...

Oh well... me b*tching wont fix it and no point to continue this thread about the issue. We have enough of them. I simply just wanted to share that if any had the issue and was in hopes the upgrade would fix it than dont bother... lol I dont know what other things the bios may have changed though as we all know Asus makes changes and does not share all the details...

It does bring me some faith to know they are still doing new bios. Lets me feel like they somewhat care, haha.

My main issue is not actually the keyboard thing ... as i use external keyboard. my main concern is actually the random freezing during idle or gaming .. very frustrated tho ... been looking for solution ..but it seems like there is no one of it :( anyone have any idea on this ? i already switch to bios 210 and also updated the atk hotkey and atkosd !

I see what you mean, but i guess im not affected then

I type well over 50+ WPM.

Im actually typing this to you on the onboard keyboard right now. Nothing is missing that i didnt intentionally leave out.

The laptop hasnt been rebooted for 3 days now (i prefer to go between hibernate and on)

Im sorry that you have this issue =/

I was however affected by the 100% CPU Use Issue. It was the only flaw with this laptop... but since they fixed that with bios v209... everything is fine now :D

Very weird. I tried to replicate this last night...played an hour of AITD or so to warm up the system, then fired up notepad and just started typing stuff. No noticeable missing keystrokes or lag.

It must be due to a hardware issue if it is heat-related though. But what I don't understand is why it is a common, but not universal problem, given that all the G50's are so similar internally. Afaik it affects all models, X1, X2, A1, A2.
