    Using NB probe it stays at normal and spikes to fully on at times?? Anyone know if this is bad?

    Depends on the times when it spins to full. If during those times the machine is under heavy load (E.g., playing a GPU or CPU-intensive game) then it's fine.

    If the fan spikes are not correlated with user activity, it depends. In that case, it may be a good idea to verify your CPU usage, and if it's too large, make sure you don't have malware or buggy apps that take too much CPU etc.
