Anyone got any video scores for the G50xt yet? like the
G50vt-x2? OC on the 9800m gs? (can it keep up with 9800m gts?).
Also, just outa curiosity, anyone happen to check if card is in MXM form? see http://www.mxm-upgrade.com/Notinthelist.html Thanks!answer--went to BB and checked an x1 with regedit. It doesnt have it there and indexed search shows no for
"mxm". ...HOLD THE PRESS.. just got off phone with
ASUS North Amer presales he said all the g50's use MXMIII. He said they just dont use the reg entry so you wont find them that way.

I'll do a bench with my G50Vt-A1 in a few for you when I'm doing setting up a couple things.

Just ran a 3dmark06 on my G50vt-X1. I ran it at the native res of 1366X768
Total Score was 8357
SM2.0: 3811
SM3.0: 3795
CPU: 1982
This is without any overclocking.
The only gaming I have done so far is WOW. I get about 40-50 fps with all settings on High in native res. Sometimes it dips to 20 when there is a lot going on. This is with 4X sampling.
Also, the GPU usually maxes at 79 C. I know this isn't low, but it is a huge upgrade from the high 90s on my G1 and NP2096. -
I ran 3dmark06 on default settings and got 8130 and then OC'd the processor from 2.5 to 2.8 and got 8220. I will try overclocking the card shortly and report back.
On one hand I love the 1680*1050 for desktop space and just everyday computer use, but on the other hand it kinda makes for a bit of a harder time gaming on this laptop. -
Any Crysis benchmarks? If it runs Crysis nicely, then everything else should play well.

thanks, great numbers. Did you try turbo extreme on the cpu?
looks like the 9800m GTS in the gateway P-7811fx (3dmark06)
does about 8511 stock and 10000 OC'c (using nvidia Performance I assume) . http://www.notebookforums.com/showthread.php?p=2955717
I just tested my 7811 in vista got 3dm06, got 8740 stock and 9430 with gpu clocked

Exo did you try Overclking the gpu with Nvidia Performance yet? (keeping cpu OC'd too)

I have the X1 version, so my res is 1366x768
I can play crysis all medium at native res with 20-50 fps which is actually great and looks okay.
running all high yields 15-19fps and looks great, for me is a bit low tho, but still I noticed it doesn't really drop from 15 which is good.
I am currently testing some tweaks, as well as trying to use DX9 as I know it will give better performance.
other games, like UT3 run at 60fps or near 60 at native res, 4/5 settings (5/5 only adds AA and AF I believe).
Left 4 Dead runs at 60fps with max settings 2xAA and AF, native res.
overall, its about 2.5 times stronger than my M50's 9500GS -
You need to start OC'ing that thing you panzy. I have a 9500M GS and I can play Crysis at 1440x900 with shaders and shadows on High, and everything else on Very High, yes Very High. No Bull, and it plays decently. My 3DMark06 scores highest around 5962 at 1024x768, and that's with a four month old driver. I ran into a couple issues and I'll post some new numbers for the newer drivers shortly.

Crysis on High with no AA nets me 28-29FPS on an X1.
