    G50vt b1 supports DDR3 memory?

    I'm thinking of upgrading the DDR2 memory in my G50 to DDR3. but does G50vt b1 supports DDR3 memory?

    You cannot upgrade DDR2 memory to DDR3 , as they have a different pin count, they would not fit.

    Virtually no different between them anyway apart from the cost.

    just to add some information...
    DDR2 has 200 pins...while
    DDR3 has 204 pins...

    although the chipset PM45 supports but it depends on the manufacturer to put DDR2 or DDR3 memory controller on it
