The heat is most likely coming from the northbridge. No need to worry.

Well, you've also managed to rearrange the designed internal airflow patterns with your modifications.

You should expect there to now be new air-heated areas that are different from before, even though you've managed to reduce your component temps.

I agree that these are probably nothing to panic about, but you'll have to get used to them.

The HDD may also be causing your palm rest to become hot.

I think you should mod your hand by drilling holes into it so it absorbs less heat when you put it on the palm rest. I'd call it the Jesus mod.

That's with stock voltage or modded?

I ran Furmark just now for about 10mins and I maxed at 88c, but that's with ambient temps of 79f.

Stock clocks, but modded voltage. (check my sig)

I always run it in xtreme burn mode. That's the whole reason I am running Furmark lol...

Anyways, I can run my GS at 640/1600/800 at 0.95v. :p Max temps at those clocks are 95c when stressed with furmark for over 15mins in 77f room temp.
