My cousin have just bought a G50Vt for me, and after checking everything, he found that the Blue-ray drive listed as unplugged device, and there's no power to it. He's in USA, and I'm in Vietnam, so I really don't know what to do.
    Can anyone help me?

    DOA? RMA.

Call tech support and arrange for him to send it back.

*EDIT* Also, Elder Scrolls ftw? *EDIT*

Before contacting Asus, I would try an re-seat the bluray drive. Simply take it out and put it back in securely. Also, download the latest BIOS from the Asus website and see if that helps.

In case you need to contact your local Asus service center, their information are as follow:

    ASUS Technology (Vietnam) Co., Ltd.
    +84-8-38300446 (08:00-17:30 Mon. ~ Sat.)

    Ho Chi Minh
110 Nguyen Chi Thanh, District 10, Ho Chi Minh City., Vietnam

Thanks for you advice, but there're some problems. My cousin told me that he don't have enough courage to open the laptop.
And for my local ASUS, I have contacted them, and they told me just bring my laptop to them when it arrived here.
Can you give me some information to help my brother contact USA ASUS?

Since it's already DOA why not try what David suggest first, it's very easy to reset the drive, also check the BIOS to see if it's been detected in the BIOS or try load BIOS default:

yea you do not open the laptop remove those 2 screws then slide out and then back in. Just point your brother to this thread so he can see it.
