i think alot of g50 owners will be looking to upgrade to the g51 for the Quad Core.. So yeah. i think it would hurt sales.

I think you're missing the point. The G51 is going to replace the G50. However, in your previous post you stated that a bios update for the G50 will hurt the sales of the G51, which is not true.

I think what nicknations meant was that if their is a BIOS update for the G50 series, owners of those will not look to push their G50s away and buy G51s, hence a tiny dent in the G51 sales market.

Not once since this bios update was mentioned has anyone even gone as far as to imply that it was for quad cores.

Good chance the G50 like many other outdated notebooks will see a bios update for something. As long as theirs an issue with an under warranty model their are potential updates.

As no one specified update for quad core, solved.

I would hope that a G50 bios update would help support all internals as a G51, including quad core support. A mere single person's hope and probably some other G50 owners' hopes also. Patience is very annoying.

IF you read the 5th page, you could see where i was discussing a possible updated bios for the g50 that would support Quad Core, would potentially hurt g51 sales, since alot of people might push aside their g50's in order to get a g51 with a quad core.. I thought i was pretty clear about what I was trying to say.

With the settings I'm using, this is the second page.

Less chance of confusion if you use the post number in the top right corner of each comment, but I hear what you're saying.

No sir if you read what is page 5 under the normal settings unlike our friend above you will not see anyone talking about a G50 bios update to support quad core.

What you will see is people talking about transplanting microcodes from the G51 or another bios to the G50 and running the G51 bios on the G50. In fact your the only one on the page to really mention a G50 bios update at all except for davids reply to your statement.

How unbecoming. I haven't seen behavior that small in a long time.

He could not see it for himself, or simply refused to actually look. Which I can not determine. I can however assist him and took time out of my day todo so. It was not for you to benefit from.

The conversation never existed outside of a few peoples heads and though we all know that each is thinking it, its simply not there.

If you feel the repeated statement has no value, it would if there was anything to comment on an individual post. I went through each one and put what applied, had it just been all mashed up he would most likley see nothing. Its highlighted to the point where almost no reading is even needed.

The point is so trivial, I honestly think you need to step away from the keyboard and take a break for a bit.
