don't know what to tell you. I have an Hp dv8000 that has low volume. I don't think its a case of me being old cuz the youngins tell me to turn it up. sent it to hp 3 times apparently that is as loud as it goes.

Its really bad =/ I never saw a notebook with such poor speakers before... Your best option is to buy some very good headphones, im using one 24/7 here =P -
Id have to run to my notebook and check pretty sure there was a setting in the bios to turn up speaker volume

Yes but I'm not sure it affects the volume in the OS.
I saw today some pointers related to increasing sound output, some control panel tweaks... unfortunately I do not remember the tips nor the place where they were posted. -
Yeah I'm not sure if its just bios audio. Good question man ill play around and see what i come up with. I read on this forum a duck tape fix but said in reality it degraded audio quality but boosted the loudness

The volume control in BIOS do not change the volume in Windows... Even if it did, it does not matter... I mean, you can "tweak" the sound by software, make it louder, but it will only get all distorted and even harder to listen and understand =/
G51 BB edition volume is very low.
