I just got an 80GB X25-M G2 SSD but I'm getting about 40 seconds for boot time. Is that normal/about the same as other G51/X25-M users? My specs are in my sig. It's faster than my HDD but maybe my expectations were too high?

I saw this video and the boot time is a lot quicker.

YouTube - Asus G73JH Intel X25m G2 SSD and Windows 7 Boot Up, Shutdown, Restart, PhotoShop 7 Open Video

Sure, the i7 is faster and startup programs would make a difference too. My taskbar startup programs include, Steam, Microsoft Security Essentials, FRAPS, RMClock, Winpatrol and Windows Live Messenger. Not sure if this is a significant enough amount to make a big difference though?

My WEI score is 7.7 and these are my benchmark results

Are you taking a relatively long time to POST, maybe on the order of 15 seconds or so? My G51vx is doing that, though I can't fathom why.

But yeah, by stopwatch my time is around 40-45 seconds if I unplug all peripherals. Your Crystal test looks normal for an Intel G2.

Yeah my POST is about 15 secs before the 'Windows is Starting' screen comes up. That video is about half of that.
