On my G51VX-X2A it's hard to connect to multiplayer games. On COD: WaW I can only join after a few tries. It's annoying but bearable. The worst is on Rainbow Six Vegas 2. I cannot connect to ANY online game unless I'm hosting. I'm not sure if this is RSV2's problem or my G51's network/wifi card. Any ideas guys?

I don't play those games so I can't really say but I never have any online problems while playing WoW, Day of defeat, Sins of a solar empire, or Far cry 2.

good to know. I'm really hoping it's the games and not my G51.

Could possibly be conflicts between hardware on your network. Do you notice any problems browsing the net or downloading files? also do you notice any irregularities when you try to ping your ISP or other hosts?

I only noticed problems once connected to cod4 online my ping is very high sometimes when my other gaming rig isnt. I usually can connect right away though.

I don't know how those games manage multiplayer settings, but it looks like your rates are messed up. Changing a few numbers in CS 1.6 can jump me from 79-ish to over a hundred.

Don't think it's my laptop. Steam games are connecting just fine. and I never have problems connecting to the internet or downloading
How would I change the rates and what should I change them too?
G51 bad game connectivity
