Alright, so my G51's HDD is doing that heavy clicking that some of them are doing on start-up and on wake, so I am going to take it back to Best Buy and have them swap it out for another one. I have been consistently optimizing my operating system, configuring settings, adding programs, etc, etc, and I have it just the way I like it. I was trying to find the easiest way to port over essentially the entire contents of my operating system including all the settings over to the new G51.

If I build a few recovery discs from my current build, configuration, programs, etc of Windows 7, would that basically image all my settings onto the new G51, considering all the drivers are the same since it is the same computer?

    Yup, it'll restore your laptop.

Windows 7 actually lets you save a system image. It'll take a huge amount of space, though, so you're best using an external hard drive.
