I have the Linksys WRT610N router. I want to dedicate the 5ghz, N band for my laptop use. While rest of the house is on the 2.4ghz, G band (7-10 other household connections).

Any suggestions on which card to get?

There isn't a whole lot of options. the 5300 will be your best bet.

Course, I think the WRT610N is junk... but that's my personal opinion...

With my D-Link DIR-825, I get around 11-14MB/sec on the 5 GHz side with Intel 5100 & 5300's and around 8GB/sec on the 2.4 GHz when the planets are aligned perfectly, all microwaves not popping popcorn and it's low tide.

I have yet to find an AP that supports 450Mbps PHY 3x3 MIMO that the Intel 5300/5350's support that doesn't require giving my first born child.

    Cheers,
    Kermee

Definitely the 5300. I have the same Linksys router I get 300Mbs in the house from it with the 5300 on 5GHz band.

I received my 5300 card last week. I only got time to put it in last night. Windows 7 found it and loaded the drivers no problem. Works great. Now have dedicated 5ghz (n) for my laptop. I was actually surprised how easy it was to install.
Asus even had the 3rd antenna already pre-wired into the laptop and just taped to the old card.

This is my 1st Asus Laptop and am very impressed.
Still have to work on that heat problem though.
    Thanks again for everyone's help.
