So, I was using my laptop just surfing the web, and all the sudden I notice a tiny bug just moving around the laptop screen. I took a kleenex and tried to remove it gently from what i thought was the exterior of my screen.
Turns out, this bug is INSIDE my screen, just moving around. I'm just shocked at first, almost laughing, so I call one of my siblings over, and immediately she takes my cleaning cloth and tries to brush it off. Before I could tell her its inside the screen, I guess she pushed hard against the screen, and the bug died, smushed. I don't really know what to call this (Dead bug pixel?).
Anybody have any clue how I could take it off, I don't even think its possible.

LOL, sux. You'll have to take apart the lid to get between the backlight and the LCD. You'll have to be extremely careful, especially with the LVDS and inverter cables. Do not force them! Read through the G50V disassembly guide, it's the same chassis: http://forum.notebookreview.com/asus/318551-asus-g50-notebook-disassembly-guide.html

Thanks alot, but I'm afraid I can't even take the bezel off, the G50 disassembly guide states there are 6 screws, and I can only find the 4 corner screws, there are none on the sides of the webcam

They are underneath the rubber covers on the sides of the webcam, on the inside corners (closest to the webcam). You don't have to take the whole cover off to get at them just the widest part.

Ah, Thanks!

This actually happened to me before too, but instead of a bug, it was a piece of dirt. It's not common to see something stuck inside the screen, but it does happen to the best of us

how does a bug get stuck inside the screen? it's not like there's a big hole for the bug to crawl into
-
Tiny* bug, way smaller than an ant
And hell if I know, lol -

I wonder what you happened if you tried to RMA.
"Reason for RMA: Dead [bug on] pixel".
It would give the techs a laugh, I'm sure.
