Anyone know if Asus uses keyboard that a fairly interchangable?
The G71GX + the backlit keyboard on the G51VX would be great to have.

Based on the photographs, the keyboard layouts are different, so in order to put a G51VX keyboard on the G71GX, it would require some rigging (if its possible). Also, the backlight for the keyboard would need a power lead which would also have to be rigged.

While it obviously has a different layout, I can't tell from the pictures if it mounts differently or not. As for power the keyboard should be powered. I would assume the connector is either a flat ribbon USB or PS2.

However, now that I saw your post of GPUZ and realize that the G71's video card is clocked the same as the G51, I might as well get the G51.
