I did a clean install of Windows 7 with the disc Asus sent me. I only installed the drivers from the other disc with none of the software. The only change was I used to newer Nvidia drivers with the custom inf. Windows 7 has been freezing up on me randomly so that I can not click on anything in the taskbar. Do I need any of the software on the disc? Do I need to reinstall Windows 7? Any help would be nice.

Every time I've had that issue I've downloaded the chipset INF, the hard drive drivers and the Intel Matrix Storage Manager drivers. It has resolved my issue on two separate laptops. This is assuming your laptop is using intel processor and chipset.

Did you download all of those from Asus or each individual manufacturer? Also I will be doing another clean install and should I load the drivers first or install the drivers after Windows 7 is installed?

I tried another clean install and installed the drivers only. It was working for a minute and then I plug in my mouse (G5) and I am getting the freezing again. I thought it was Chrome and installed Firefox again but now I think it might be the mouse and will change it to see if that is the problem. If anyone has any other ideas let me know.
