    Hi-

I am new to laptops. This is my first, I bought it for my family. Sorry for the silly question but how do you get the keyboard lights to turn on? I see two keys- one looks like it make the board brighter and one looks like it makes the boarder dimmer/off. Nothing happens when I press these. Am I supposed to press another key simultaneously? I tried shift, etc. Also, is there an explicit manual online for this somewhere? Of course we all know the included manual contains no detail.

    Thanks!

    Sharon

the Fn key, bottom left near the ctrl+win keys in conjunction with the F3 and F4 keys in the top left, will change brightness levels of your keyboard. Fn in conjunction with all of the F1-F12 keys will do something different. Fn+the Enter key (on the numpad to the right) will open up a calculator (In windows and ubuntu linux) hitting Fn+ the spacebar will change battery plans. Fn+v will open life frame for taking pictures/videos with your camera, etc.
