Anyone else have this problem? Playing Modern Warfare 2 and Borderlands sometimes the game acts wierd and doesn't let me move forward only thing I can do is move backward until I ctrl-alt-delete and force close the game and restart it. My bro in law has the same problems with his G51j.

Are you using external Keyboard or the laptop keyboard?

Have you gone to the Asus website and downloaded the latest chipset?

Have you updated your BOIS to 205? Might be things to try to remedy the situation.

Yeah delete the Chinese Keyboard layout in Control Panels (that should solve it)

It's definitely not the BIOS problem since I don't have this problem and I have BIOS 204.
I think it's the keyboard problem, update all ur chipset to newest ones and check ur control panels. if it doesn't fix contact ASUS.

Oh yea, I forgot about the language packs that come pre-installed with the G51J, I will have to remember that when mine arrives here to me in Iraq sometimes after the new year!

It doesn't do it all the time, just part of the time and it's wierd how I can only go backwards. Sometimes I can play for 2 hours before it does it and sometimes it does it right away. Could it be an overheating issue? I have the stock video driver and bios 204 as well as my bro in law.

and by the way, We are not using an external keyboard we are using the Asus g51j keyboard.

OK, as Hydeo has eluded too, there is a key combination that will activate the chinese language for the computer. It also appears its from those that play FPS games as it requires a combination. Go into your control panel and in your keyboard options and uninstall the chinese language pack from there. That should fix your problem.

You guys are awesome! Apparently left shift+alt activated the chinese keyboard, I removed the chinese keyboard and took off the option to activate it. I'm pretty sure it will fix my problem, if not I will be back here haha.

Go to your control panel and open "Region and Language". Click the "Keyboard and Languages" tab at the top of the window that opens. Select the Chinese one and delete it. That will solve your problem.

Ya this seems to work beautifully, I played MW2 for a while last night (Err.. this morning) for a while and didn't have that problem. I would usually stop playing because I couldn't move and just get fed up.. ;)

    So... thanks!
