    So my question is which is the better gaming platform.


    The basic difference, which makes them better then the other, I see between them is:

    6gb of RAM in the G71
    17" screen in the G71
    Full HD screen in the G51
    i7 in the G51


    So which one is better when you are going to be using it a lot for gaming and watching movies?

    Doesn't matter now since the G71 is sold out. G71 is a better deal for the same price as a G51...
