First off, I would like yo apologize if this has been addressed before. I did some extensive googling and nothing came up.

Yesterday for the second time the center pin of the power jack broke off into the power cord. My warrenty ran out awhile ago and so I went searching for an alternative solution. I had already taken apart the laptop before so I was fairly comfortable with putting in a replacement jack. From some testing it appears that I succeeded. The laptop powers on without the battery.

The problem im having is that though the laptop has power, it isnt displaying anything on the screen. I tried fiddling with the cords and ribbon cables, and checked and rechecked to make sure everything was connected properly. I cannot get any kind of display on the screen, no flickering, nothing. So iturn to you guys for any help you can provide.

Sorry for any typos, in my laptops abscense I am posting on my phone.

Sorry for the double post, but I just thought of some more information that might be helpful. I have tried hooking up s monitor to the compute but still nothing. Also, I have nit fully assembled the laptop as I dont want to have to keep taking it apart over and over. If there is some weird thing wher the laptop must be fully put back together beforw it will start, please let me know.

No display on internal and external monitors = bad dGPU (usually). Were you grounded when you opened up the system? If it wasn't already on its last leg, there may be ESD damage now.
