G60 - G72 SHowing up on bestbuy.com also G60 is in the weekly ad

Like the title say there showing up on the bestbuy.com gaming laptop section the G51 marked down to 949 while the g60 starts at 999 and the g72 with seems to have a more subtle design with no mini led panel starts at 1199

My God the specification on the G72Gx-RBBX09 is awesome. I'm not sure which to buy now; the new ASUS G51j-A1 or the G72Gx-RBBX09.

 

G60's are looking good.
Now the thing is dimensions are exactly the same as G51 only difference is no flashing lights on the side(YES! just not my style), slightly different looking keyboard,and LED LCD HD Wide Screen display + W7 installed.
The style on the lid is "interesting" but I could live with it.
Do both G60's have the same style on the lid?
Overall great deal.
Going to have to see what they look like in person, but so far so good.

 

Unfortunately Ikas, I don't think anybody has seen the other G60 do to the fact that Best Buy does not have them in the store. Howard911 reported that they were for online order only. And of course BB website has no picture available.

But I am so thankful it doesn't have a white lid. More my style

 

Does anyone know if the G72GX has a backlit keyboard like the G51/G60?

I went out and got my Asus G51vx-R05 yesterday at BB for $999, initially i was going to try and get the G60 but didnt for the simple reason that BB could not sell it to me (I know its 'LOL time" when i asked the sales rep why he cant sell me 90% of his inventory until Oct22nd since it has windows 7 preloaded on it and they cant sell laptops with windows 7 until then.) And I realized it is literally almost exactly the same as the G51 except for a slightly larger display and a ever so slightly faster processor. So I went coughed up and bought the G51 and earlier today i stopped buy in a another BB where I work nearby and low and behold overnight the G51 went from $999 to $949 (online only as an outlet item) to being sold out to being price dropped in BB to $899 so i went back and got $100 back on my credit card so far im very happy with the G51

 

The G72 looks nice.

 

Damn that G72 looks nice, but now I'm kind of frustrated since I've been wanting to get the G51 for it's size (very important factor), form, and price, but the seeing as how the new G72 is a quad core It's also very tempting. What sucks is that if I get the G50 (or G60 if it's been confirmed) I'm going to be stuck with Core 2 Duo because the BB version doesn't support quad core processors.
*Also somewhat offtopic why is that VX5 so expensive? Is 7 Ultimate, and a 1TB HDD really worth the extra $3k?
