Got my G60 yesterday. I did a clean install of Windows 7 yesterday, went on the Asus site and installed all of the drivers (except the videocard one), and pulled the 197.16 driver for the video card off of the NVidia site. The laptop ran fine until I installed the video card driver and turned the laptop off for the night.
The problem is that I get a BSOD even before I put my password in at the start screen, even if I'm in Safe Mode. Any ideas?
BIOS is the 204 version.

Looks like I'll take it back.

From what I heard the 204 BIOS have problems with the GPU, try to update the BIOS and boot again.

I have the G60j and the latest BIOS version is 208. I have no issues with my unit and also installed the 197.16 driver. The only problem I had was adjusting the screen colors as out of the box settings were not good. I put on AS5 on CPU/GPU and drilled holes in fake grill dropping the temperatures greatly. By the way, if you want the bigger 9 cell battery, you can get it on the Asus web site. I use win 7 32 bit Ultimate and Ubuntu 10.4 with no issues.
G60 BSOD on startup.
