First off, sorry for only doing one quick search, but I am short on time (time to get the kids ready for their candy hunt).

Anyways, I am going in week 5 of my wait for my Dell (see sig) and things have been jacked...so I'm looking around for a good alternative. I know that the G51j is out with the i7, but then I just saw that BB has the G60 with C2D's. Does anyone know if the G60 will get the i7 and the higher res screens within the next few weeks? I can't remember how long it took from the time that BB started selling their lower spec G51Vx's to the time XoticPC/Gentech/etc started their higher speced G51's (A1/A2) to come out afterwards. Any word or good guesses? I'm just curious but definitely don't mind going with the G51j. :)

I highly doubt they will make a reiteration of the g60 with an i7 in the near future. Possibly a G61 type model later on with arrandale dual cores.

It's obvious he's interested in the 16" screen.

Which is a great size BTW. It may be possible, Asus updates there notebooks so fast i wouldn't be surprised if there was one right around the corner.

Yeah, I was interested in the 16" because it'll fill out the bezel better...but it is definitely fine with the G51j. It is more of a question based on curiosity.

I doubt we will see i7 Bestbuy model, maybe the G7X series. But with i7 the G60 be expensive machine which is exactly what the G60 isnt build to be. But who knows now there are 05/09 versions so maybe in the next refresh. But its more likely the next version to upgrade to arrandale version than i7.

they will first be i3, and then later there are supposed to be i5 and i7 iterations.
