Hey guys, first post, so here goes.
I have a problem with the G60jx freezing randomly, such as doing word processing tasks or just checking temps on HWMonitor. I already uninstalled all creative software on my computer, except for openAL which I need to run 3Dmark, but will be uninstalling shortly. I still have realtek audio manager installed, but I kind of want to keep it. This is the G60JX-RBBX05 version from worst buy. It doesnt freeze too often, but its getting to be a pain and its starting to freak me out. It just freezes, no BSOD, then I have to reboot. Do you guys have any ideas?

It's most probably a software issue. Have you uninstalled all the bloatware that came with your laptop?

    Uninstalled also Sound Audigy software?

Anyways, I though that the G60jx had to uninstall realtek audio drivers? Try the Sound audigy first, if nothing happens, try realtek and install normal windows sound driver.

Yes, I have uninstalled all bloatware and all creative software but realtek audio manager is still on my system, I guess I'll have a go at removing that and see if it rectifies the issue. BTW can you still manage microphones and other audio devices without realtek?

My g60jx has frozen several times as well. For me its only been after I unplug the notebook from AC power. I stopped at Best Buy today and a sales person recommended using the "High Performance" battery setting. I changed to that and will see if that helps in my case.
