My G71G-A2 came with a 10GB partition on disk 0 along with the Vista 64 partition and a data partition (blank). Disk 1 has 2 partitions as well, both blank.

I'm wondering if the 10GB partition is the restore partition and also if Express Gate is disk based and where it is stored or if that is a ROM based feature?

Since I have the DVD restore disk I wanted to get rid of that 10GB partition and resize the vista and data partitons thereby reclaiming the space and then mirror them to the other drive (via 3d party software of course) but am wondering if I will still be able to boot at that point or even if ExpressGate will still work at that point.

    Thanks!
