I can't seem to find anything on whether or not my Best Buy version will support raid. I have a Gateway P7805u that didn't show the option for raid in it's bios until an identical HD was installed - I set up an array in that rig and it nearly doubled my disc performance. Please let me know, thank you! (forgive me if a previous thread addressed this question, but my searches turned up nothing)

yes it supports raid. but it only supports software raid not hardware.
and i believe the drives have to be identical -
Ok, thanks a lot! Aren't most laptops that have raid capability use the software variety? Someone over on the Asus website forum said it didn't do raid and I thought he might be wrong. I guess I'll go back there and set him straight!

all of the g50 and g70 series support raid. i think raid0 and raid1 but im not sure
