    Hi all,

How would you rate the brightness of your G71?
I am running mine (a G71Gx) next to my asus X71 and the latter wins hands down when it comes to brigthness and contrast.....
    Checked config panel, seems fine...

Did I miss something somewhere in the configuration?

    Your thoughts?

Got also a G51  what a magnificent screen!!

Hmm I just received my G71gx-a1 which is suppose to have a dual lamp but there's just no way its a dual lamp. Does opening it up to check my return window I wonder? My hardware ID is LGD3901 so it is an LG and I must say I'm not impressed by it. It's better than the samsung in the M17x but they share similar qualities and it is still no where near as good as the CMO dual lamp and I haven't seen that screen in a few years. That's how much of an impression that screen made on me

Oh and looking at windows explorer which as a white background there's definitely uneven brightness. When clicking the start button I can notice that area appears dark.

I can verify that it is not a dual lamp.
