-It's coming out one month from now, early September
    -It will be around $2000-2100.

I'm getting it and I can't wait, so far I've fought off my urge to buy the G50v-A1.

The 9800 would be nice, but I can't pay more for it. So whatever they put in for $2100 max is fine with me. :)

Yeah, the screen and that resolution is what I'm looking forward to the most. Although it's going to suck playing some games in a 1280x800 ish resolution.

well you wont have much of a choice, gpu's have a hard time running 1680 res the thing im wondering is there any GOOD pictures that actually show the top of the notebook all the ports and such everyone i find it shows the stupid one that just shows the inside with the red inserts.

well i think a good comparison is probably the G2. Take a look at the amount of ports and stuff it has and then factor in the G50v.

yeah you're probably right on your estimate i just wonder if there will be additional ports over the g50v because of the extra size

http://www.shopbot.com.au/pp-asus-g71v-7u016g-price-122019.html this is a link i found it shows a TON configurations for the g71v and the most amazing thing i saw is apparently this thing comes with 1tb of hard drive space as an option, as well as a x9100 3ghz processor!! i've also seen vista ultimate, a blu ray drive, and a remote as options...Lastly, the biggest thing one of the websites has is the release date as the 16th.....today.....maybe that is australia only?
