Has anyone confirmed that their G71G-A2 was shipped yet? I see them as in stock but I have no record of mine being shipped yet

was there a last minute spec change from Asus?

you're site says it has a 9800 GT card, not the GS. interesting.

The change on type of memory used was announced during the first week of November. (11/4 to be exact). ASUS G71G has GeForce 9800M GS 512MB DDR3, not GT.

Keeps getting more confusing .. since BTO has a review on their forum:

It is no secret that this beast is made for the casual to extreme gamer driven by nVidia 9800M GT 512mb DDR3 GPU. The video card is not a joke. The benchmarks below will show you what you are paying for. Multiple screenshots are included for 3dmark06 with various resolutions.

You resellers need to get your stories straight ;) or your info right.

All joking aside, I recall reading the thread on the X1 from best buy showing it was a GT as well, when in fact it was a GS? Who knows, you never can be certain with Nvidias these days.
