Is there anyway to turn off the lights on the lid? I know they flash when you put the computer lid down and in sleep mode (that has been useful).

Also do the lights flash to music or can they be made too?

I dont think the lights on a G72 can be controlled. If its anything like the g51 (it is), then direct console (the program used to control the lights on the g50) will not work. A program, temporarily called indirect console, was being developed by members of this forum to control the lights, but its been a while since anything new happened there; the program is not yet complete. If they really make you angry, you can always pop open the case and cut/unplug them
