I have had my G72 for about a day now and it keeps locking up on me for no reason. I can use it for a few maybe 15 minutes tops and then it locks up.

Is anyone else having these issues? I am thinking of restoring it to factory standards and then seeing what happens if it still happens I will be returning it to BestBuy and getting another one.

If it's like that out of the box, just return it now and save yourself any future trouble.

Yeah I am thinking of doing that but I already upgrading to Ultimate. Would I need to restore it to factory standards?

Just return it as is and ask for an exchange.

Do I need to have the box and everything or can I just bring the computer and power cord?

    What he said.

I am assuming it didn't like running along side Trend Micro which comes with the computer.

I generally uninstall whatever other anti virus is there and just use AVG free.

The new AVG is horrible. It use to be a good solution, but I have installed it on 2 PC's and it locks up every one of them... all the time... uninstall and issue goes away. I would stay away from AVG (free) for now.
