I was wondering if I can use a external gpu like the aorus gaming box and use the internal screen since it has gsync, because I can replace the motherboard and get a 1070 I just don't want to go through the hassle taking it apart.

Your laptop has a thunderbolt port, so you should be able to use a Thunderbolt dock, now using the built in screen will use some of the bandwidth used to send data/commands to the card, so it has some performance hit when doing so, and I dont know if G-Sync will work that way.

75hz g-sync is old school already. You would likely be better off using an external 144 or higher monitor. I HAVE THE g752vs WITH 1070 AND its already showing its age.

Power modded 1070 will give you a nice performance boost, but you will be CPU limited in any multiplayer game..
