Hey guys, I want to do a fresh install of vista on my G1S-A1 laptop. What disk would I need to use to do the re-install?

You want to use the Restore DVD. Pop it in and have the restore process install Vista for you. Once the OS installation is done, it will prompt you to insert the drivers CD. Don't insert it. Rather, just reboot the computer.

This will give you a clean install of Vista. You can then install the drivers manually using the drivers CD.

Or you can just hit F9 during boot to install off the HDD recovery partition. Much, much faster (but can't bypass the bloatware). For more details see my XP guide (the basic installation procedure is the same)
