GL-702vm VS GL-753vd

Hi guys .
in my country gl702vm and gl753 have the same price (or 702vm is 50 to 70$ more expensive)
similarity :
CPU: i7- 7700HQ- 2.8 - 3.8
RAM: 16 -DDR4
SSD: 128

differences :
HDD 702: 1 ___ 753: 2
thickness 702: 23 ___ 753: 33
GPU 702: 1060 6g ___ 753: 1050 4g

753 weight is 0.3 more and it has dvd-rom (not good) and RGB lighting keyboard (so good ) . I want to choose the better one for video & photo editing and multi-tasking . so I think cpu is more efficient compared to gpu . the gpu is the same GL-703 that has two fans but 753 has one ! gl703 temp hasnt been good in tests with two fans. so 753 can be cool with one ? it makes me doubt . thickness of 753 could decrease the temp ?

display is very important . the displays are the same BUT g-sync and refresh rate. 702 is 75 //// 753 is 60 . is it important to edit video and photos ?

everyone probably says 702 model is better why is kinda flagship. but I think 753 is newer and they've fixed probable problems . and 753 RGB backlight is important bcuz 702 owners said red backlight is not comfortable .

thickness and weight and thunderbolt are not very important to me . undoubtly the body(case) and material of 702 is better . but totally you folks prefer which one for editing and multimedia . not gaming ?

 

For multimedia and video editing, graphic card and sRGB (or %NTSC) are crucial. Gtx 1060 is way more powerful than the Gtx 1050, which will result in quicker video & photo editing. Refresh rate isn’t really an issue for multimedia because most of multimedia laptops have 60 Hz display anyway. The two laptops both run quite hot, but the 753 is slightly cooler (roughly 6 degree cuz of the lower power gtx 1050, and it only has one fan). Also, pay more attention at the AdobeRGB and sRGB of the two laptops because you would love to have a colour accurate display for the job (since you didnt include the info of the sRGB).
Personally, I would trade the asthetic of the 753 for horse power of the 702 because you can later buy an RGB keyboard and plug in your device (if you really like the RGB keyboard) but you cannot buy a GTX 1060 and plug in your laptop since both dont have TB3 port.
Last but not least, there is the new GL503VM and GL703VM coming out soon, which promise to have 100% sRGB (72% - 94% NTSC), and price seem to be similar to the GL702VM too, so might as well give a glance at them

703 is not available here and will not be before xmas . 702 is very nice . is it easy to replace RGB keyboard ?

702vm model was about 1200 $ . but now is 1400$ . 702 price increase is becuz of 703 gpu 1050 ? OR asus has increased 702 price to sell 703 better ? thats not logical .

 

The new price of the GL702 in your state probably is decreased in order to pave the way for the GL703 (gtx 1060, not 1050) lines up.
About GL702vm keyboard, I dont think that u can replace it on the laptop. You can go on Amazon or Bestbuy to order a separate RGB keyboard, and plug in your laptop as a workstation at home. I am in a Asus ROG private group and I have seen a lot of people complaning about the keyboard of the 753 too. Despite of the good typing experience, the keys seem not to be so durable (keys stop working, RGB lights die)
