This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    GL502VY webcam and keyboard backlight not working

    Okay so long story short, my Asus ROG GL502VY broke and I had to get it fixed, but after waiting for a month for that to be done it was returned with the web camera not working(not being detected) and the back-light on the keyboard not working.

    So I was wondering what it could be, I ended up opening it to check all the wiring and it's all connected properly. Although I don't know which one is for the webcam and the keyboard back-light.

    I would very much appreciate any help right now, because I need the webcam for work and I can't send in my laptop to get fixed again right now.
