We have purchased a big batch of these but the problem is the GUID on the PXE rom is not unique FFFFFFFFF-FFFFF-FFFFF-FFFFF-110000000. So when we use our deployment system it cannot differentiate between the laptops as it uses this id.

I contacted ASUS support as to me it requires a bios fix. ASUS told me to send them in them but they wouldn't guarantee there wouldnt be a charge. As it is a fault with a brand new product it is their responsibility to fix it free of charge. I have told them we will not buy ASUS in the future and waiting their response

I would love to hear their response - if you get one. Not out of interest or indulging in gossip, but rather to see if they provide a fix or recommendation, so that I can take note of it.

Just keep in mind that if you do follow up with their response here on the forums, posting verbatim messages between you and their support is against forum rules, if I remember correctly. But I would appreciate a synopsis. :)
