Dell is offering some coupons on the E1705 at the moment. You can get with 7800 card which is very fast. If you would like something with better build quality the Asus Z70va is a good choice but the card is not as good.

How about one of the new Asus models from the Proportable news thread (since you're posting in the Asus forum)?
    A7j: Late-February - 17"w, 256mb ATI x1600 - *NO TV tuner/1.66ghz/512mb/100gb 5400rpm - $1,699
    V6j: Mid-March - 15"r, 128mb Nvidia 7400 - *NO IPS/1.66ghz/1024mb/100gb 5400rpm - $1,899
    W3j: Late-March - 14"w, 256mb ATI x1600 - 1.66ghz/1024mb/100gb 5400rpm - $1,799

Well from your link, the W2V and V6Va would be your best bet, BUT it doesn't fit into your budget. A stronger choice would be the customizeable Z81SP which you can configure within your budget. With that, you can play any game at high resolution.

His budget is "about $1,800"....... when you're looking at a 3-4 year investment, you should save up a bit more if you have to to to get something that's going to last you and you're going to enjoy the whole time.
