When on the verge of entering in credit card information for GenTech, have you ever noticed that the "Lock" (meaning the page is secure/encrypted) has a red slash through it? When I double click the lock to see what the slash means, it says:

    Connection Partially Encrypted

Parts of the page you are viewing were not encrypted before being transmitted over the internet.

Information sent over the Internet without encryption can be seen by other people while in transit.

    What's the deal with that?

Also, this is GenTech's site, right? http://1toppc.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=SFNT

I just noted in the other thread that in using Firefox Gentech's site is listed as completely encrypted.

And yes that is their site.

    Yes, that is Gentech's website.

They are a very reputable dealer so you should not worry.

Hmm... I'm using FireFox as well, and it shows as Partially Encrypted. :< I wonder what that's about. Time to try looking at the site in IE.

Check your settings and make sure you are using the latest version of FireFox.

It righted itself once I updated to FireFox 2~. Thanks; I was too used to automatic FireFox updates.
