Hello! Thanks for visiting. I have just two questions about the ASUS G1:
1. Has anyone tried installing the Omega Driver and succeeded in compatibility and performance?
2. How on Earth do you get rid of Outlook.exe permanently. I never use the program and it is running in the background every time. Thanks!!!

For outlook (assuming XP, I don't know if its the same for Vista):
1. Click Start>Run
2. Type "msconfig" in the box and hit OK.
3. Go to the "Startup" tab.
If you find Outlook.exe there, uncheck it and restart your computer. If not, then you have another program loading outlook.exe. I am running on a completely different laptop, so beyond here I am not much help. -
try searching for outlook.exe and see where it's located, then see if there's an uninstall file there? (i'm assuming u've already looked at 'add/remove programs' and it's not there)
hmm interesting... lemme check if i have that loading too when i get home.. -
Thanks guys,
The problem is that I do have multiple programs that monitor my start-up as well as uninstall various programs, yet I cannot find anyway to detect outlook.exe both from startup and uninstalling. -
i've checked and i don't have that running
if it's not on msconfig nor add/remove program all u can do now is do a general windows search for the file 'outlook.exe' and go from there? -
I found it, and it is port of Microsoft Office...should I just delet from the source....will that work?

omega drivers for nvidia cards are not updated.
omega drivers are for ati cards. laptopvideo2go.com are good alternative drivers for nvidia with speed enhancements. -
just use user permissions windows control panel and deny access to outlook.exe. That's how I put the screws to messenger....l
