    Hello,

I'm currently preparing to purchase an Asus F8Sn-C1. I'm planning to buy the laptop with Vista (cheaper than XP configuration) from BTOTech.com then install XP on it since I have one more license left for it. I've got my XP drivers ready (found on asus.com) and have the list of the software install. Prepared my current PC to share the files on the network, so that I can transfer my files easily from my PC to the Laptop with the router. Finaly, I'm buying a USB TV Tuner from eBay, to replace the AIW X800 XT function that I've had on my PC.

Is there anything else I need to prepare ?

    Thanks

I've had the F8SN-C1 for a few weeks and it's a really solid and powerful notebook. The screen is great as there is almost no leakage and I can squeeze out almost 3hrs of battery life (battery saving mode) after under volting.

my only complaint is that the touch pad can get really warm because of the location of the hard drive but it does a good job keeping the cpu and gpu cool.

    minor issues:
    - exhaust is on the right side
    - ctrl and fn keys are swapped

    just do not touch
    this hot touch pad.
    .........................
    Use mouse you received instead

IF YOU HAVE BURNS YOU MIGHT SUE ASUS

    BTW are you left handed?

1 BTOTech charges extra for XP because it does same job - XP install on notebook with pre-installed Vista.

    2. If you want to sell your stuff this is the place to do it

    Great comp.

I purchased it a month or so ago. Very powerful though a little heavy. Reptar's cons apply to me as well.
