For those interested in how Asus backs up their warranty, I recently sent my notebook in to Asus US to have the LCD screen in my W3V replaced, since it had over the past year acquired more than 8 dead pixels. I just got my notebook back today after a 2 week wait, and I'm really quite happy with the new and best of all free screen.
It's actually brighter, sharper and just overall better than the old one and that includes if you compare it to the old screen when I first got it. I don't know why this would be the case, but I'm pretty convinced it is. All in all, I'm really satisfied. Other than having to deal with a person who barely spoke English when I first called them, it was an incredibly painless experience.

It could be a W3j screen, maybe
Glad to hear your experiences were quite good. -
What was your shipping method?

I shipped it FedEx insured ground. They sent it back UPS overnight.

Most people only complain about bad experiences and forget about good ones. Thanks for sharing
