After 6 full business days, itwas painful to get this babe but I've finally got it within my itchy fingers. The vendor I went with is Mirco Wise Inc. Good luck finding that one (last minute cancellation from a big corp order.
Here are my specs:
Centrino 2.0ghz 760M
1gb DDR533 (2 sticks) 1m 38s PI
80gb 5400 Hitachi (very quiet so far)
X600 64mb (1178 3d05' mark)
Brand New and not one dead pixel Woot!
after shipping and tax ~ 1216.XX lol
Forgot to mention I got 3yrs warranty for all internal parts. Screen is 2yrs thru Asus.
Took awhile to set up properly, but I gotten the laptop to stubstain 45C for CPU with speedfan and 40C for the HD. Cant here a peep out of the laptop other than my typing and my desktop 120mm fans. As you can see I've posted some test marks above.
My first fear of how I will like my first Asus laptop is ofcourse the screen brightness and dead pixels. Gladly to say that I was speachless with the brightness of the screen. 1/3 brightness is about 3/4 brightness of a brightview HP laptop zv6000 model. Plus, I looked everywhere for any dead pixel and/or red ghosting and no signs of them...PHEW! After many reboots of drivers and software, notice boot up time is around 30s not too precised there but still very good. First cycle of battery using P4G (power4gear) got 3hrs+ using internet and installs of software. Which is awesome already. Then installed NHC, undervolting about .2V or alittle more gave me about 45mins more time to play around with it. Final results, about 4hrs of battery (browsing web and playing dvd/music for 1hr 30m) lol not bad for standard battery. The only thing that was average about this laptop is the sounds. I can adjust the EQ to make it sound like it has some mid bass..and clarity its great but not that loud (less than ZV6000 output) just better clarlity with DJ Music capability. I became an Asus homer now..... :asus: praise to my old laptop zv6005us too! :hp: I hope Asus will release more types glared screens with higher reslolutions in the future!

Woo, welcome to the Asus family~!!!
Wow you got that thing for an amazing price man~!!!
Now let us know if it creaks -
It does creak if you look for it but under normal usage....I dont hear any creaking but if I look for it and press firml then yes! hehe Oh well, nothing is prefect man. Just need this laptop to last until I find suitable desktop replacement that is low heat and great GPU with glossy screen (under 2k). There are some out there now but not to my liking. Give it like 1 more year or so.
Got My Z70V today!!! Here's my review!!
