I think I refreshed the Fedex tracker every 5 minutes to see if it got delivered to the house.

So... first impressions... love it. Sleek looking, a major departure from the sterile Dells (no offense Dell owners... I have a couple myself).

I do have a few problems. I uninstalled the Norton Internet Suite because my company gives me the Enterprise edition of Norton for free. Uninstall went fine but the new install had it's problems. The first attempt hung during installation. After about 30 minutes I finally tried to abort the install but nothing worked... no clicks or even Ctrl-Alt-Delete could get it out of it's hung state. Upon restart the system hung. So then I got my first experience with restore from the hidden partition. That went well and I eventually did get the Enterprise Norton on the system but couldn't get it to stay enabled. I finally uninstalled it and for now the free version of AVG is running absolutely fine on the system.

I've loaded my other standard protection stuff... Zonealarm and SpywareBlaster. I've installed my other needed files... Filezilla, VLC, iTunes, Skype, Google Talk, Firefox and all are running fine. Joost installed fine but won't run. I'll try to download the latest version in a bit.

Finally I'm getting to loading my World of Warcraft game and probably tomorrow I'll get to see what this thing will do.

Looking forward to a better evening tomorrow. Regardless of the troubles I think the G1S will be an awesome portable gaming rig.

Take good care of it. Watch out for scratches on the lid...cause they will creep up on you.

You may check out AVAST its a good free AV program I found it to be much better than AVG and it fully supports even vista 64bit.

Norton has uninstall problems sometimes - you may want to check the norton site for an uninstall utility that will fully clean your system of Norton stuff. This could be interfering with another install.

Your Enterprise Edition of Norton will not work with Vista HP. Even the new Norton ISP 2007 retail box requires you to download the full version from Symaptic's site which is the Vista compatible installer, and it'll be able to install with your key.

That's how I got my Norton installed.

I'd remove or uncheck the mouse tracker option on the Asus MultiFrame, or it'll cause you to have camera moving issues with World of Warcraft, that was a pain I had with mine, took me a whole day to figure out what the problem was.
