What do you all reccomend? This machine is beautiful and I've been using it for a better part of the day with a smile on my face.
The screen is simply incredible. Having it side by side against a Sony Vaio s360, I have to say I think the Asus screen is clearly better than I what I considered a benchmark.
Performance has been very good so far but I am interested in what else I can do to get the most performance out of this computer.

Anyhow, you could start off by downloading NHC (Notebook Hardware Control)

With this program, you can undervolt the CPU... making it run cooler and you can also monitor some temperatures. -
YES! Use Notebook Hardware Control and UNDERVOLT. It is simple and AWESOME!

Thanks all. Is there somethign specific I need to know about undervolting it? Any specific settings? Does it void the warranty?
-
undervolting is the process by which you lower the used voltage of your processor down to what the processor actually needs to run (instead of the rediculously large amount of buffer voltage Intel provides). It takes some patience, and it involves a degree of trial and error. If you choose voltages that are too low, then your computer will bluescreen and you'll have to restart, then go into NHC and bump up the voltages a bit. However, undervolting will not hurt your computer or affect your warrantee. It does not stress components like overclocking does.

Does undervolting the CPU preclude/exclude overclocking the GPU? One is for battery and the other for performance but are they mutually exclusive?
