Ive read on and off of people having random luck getting the function hotkeys to work like audio with the cool onscreen animations. I was able to get mine working this weekend so just tossing it out there. install em one by one without rebooting until its done.

what needed to be installed off the driver disk was

    1. install AGNFEX driver

    2. Camera driver. this is important. if you dont install the camera driver the next required driver will crash. in order to install the camera driver you need update the driver using the update driver method through device manager. dont use the exe in the folder it wont work. After you go through device manager it will say installing driver if it succeeds. if you have the wrong directory or location it wil want to keep the current windows 7 driver.

    3. Install ATKHOTKEY (will crash if you didnt update camera driver correctly)

    4. Install ATKOSD2

your on screen display should be working already even without a reboot. but reboot just in case.

only install these 4 things to not get any crashes. lastly if you want for bonus points install lifeframe exe. this is the camera / video application and works in windows 7.

I've had a different experience, my laptop is a G1Sn.

The camera worked right off the bat if I remember correctly (at least some drivers installed).
But, I had to install ATK ACPI 100 first (or some such) and then atk hotkey, atkosd and atkosd2. Not sure if the normal atkosd was necessary, but they're working anyway.

the camera worked off the bat for me too but the problem is some cameras like mine has a camera light and one of the ATK drivers will crash (it trys to access the light) without the supplied camera driver. so while windows 7 driver actually worked it was not helpful in getting the animations up and running without crashing.

i did not fool with the 100 drivers. not only was it not needed but both 32 bit and 64 bit setups for this driver crashed on the 64 bit version of windows 7 for me.

i found a solution u must run Hcontrol.exe in your Asus Hot Key Directory to get the Fn Keys work again.
