Hi, I Just Got My W3J (Paid But Picking It Up On Tuesday) And Now Researching About It. I Read A Lot Of Threads About Everything On This Lappy. I Was Wondering If The Grainness Happens On All W3J's Or Just Some. If It Happens What Would It Be Like (Pictures, Examples Please). Cause I Want To Know Before I Pick Up my Lappy (Check Lappy On Site).

I have a W3J, and I also take care of my friend's W3J. Both were grainy. IMO all of W3J-before BIOS update-are grainy. Those who said that W3J is not grainy, I think, just can't see it, for some reason. And I know this because I also have a Ferrari 4002, which is not grainy.

Now, to check the graininess, when you turn on the W3J for the first time, look closely at the Windows' blue installation background. If you've ever seen that blue color, you must know that the color should be solid. But in W3J you should tell that something is different: the blue is not solid, it's like the color is made of two different colors of blue-the other color appears in big dots/squares, so.... grainy.

But don't worry, because the fix is already available.

Sorry, but the fix for F3Ja is not out yet. Only W3J, W2, and S96J/Z96J have the fix as of now.

    Nope. I've got a Z96J with an X1600 and no graininess. :)
    BIOS update...

Don't worry about graininess on your laptop. If it's there, it won't be a problem for long. It's perfectly useable the way it is, grainy or not. But you'll be able to update the BIOS to fix it in the near future. Very easy process, takes under 3 minutes.

No. Either what you are seeing is not graininess, or you only notice the graininess in videos.

If it is there during videos, it is there all the time. Without a BIOS fix, the graininess will be present in every X1600 based laptop.
