Hi. If I want to run a program that has the following requirements:
    * nVidia GeForce 2, GeForce 4mx, or better
    * OR ATI Radeon 8500, 9250, or better

Will I be able to do that with the W3J? I don't really understand how you guys know which graphics cards are better or worse than others so I haven't been able to figure this out for myself.

Is there a simple resource somewhere that helps a dummy like myself understand the gradations of these graphics cards?

    Thanks,
    Erik

The X1600 in the W3J is like 100 times more powerful than a geforce 2

all those cards you listed are very very old. anything today probably even intel 950 intergrated would be better.

My current laptop (belongs to work - not me) has a "Mobility Radeon" in it, and can't handle anything (even Google Earth)...but it is at least 3 or 4 years old.

OK...now that I have that settled, I'm going to post a help me find a new notebook request form.

Thanks for the quick reply SRD...I appreciate it.
