    Graphics switching not working ul20vt

    Ive tried reinstalling the nvidia drivers dowsn't work. the switching utility is no longer running for some reason, and the laptop has become very slow. Anyone know what to do?

    Maybe you are in some low performance mode? Check power settings maybe to be in performance mode? Can the discrete card be enabled/disabled from the bios? If so might wanna check that also.
    P.S: I have no experience with the ul30vt if it has optimus or hybrid graphics, but I did own an M17x with hybrid sli that regularly ran into similar issues and those were usually the main reasons why.

    Have you installed nvidia drivers from nvidia, or from Asus? That can make a difference on some models as asus might have something better for your machine.

    It could be some type of power saving mode as well like myxcon said.

    yeah, i recently uninstalled the drivers and reinstalled them, but now the switch utility is not showing up anymore. anyone know what extra drivers i might need?
