Hey all. There has always been alot of questions regarding of sizes - if 15.4" was indeed 'too' big, or if xxxx was that much more portable then xxx.

So, Since I was at CanadaSys today, I was checking out the ASUS w2v and z83v, the new 17" by ASUS. And dang, were they slim for 17"! I had saw the Toshiba Quosmio 30~ mins ago at a local Future Shop, and two w2v's stacked on top of each other would of been still slimmer then the Quosmio! Or not - it just seemed that way! ^.^

The w2v and z83v, repectively, compared to a regular AA Duracel battery. Notice how slim it is, the w2v, if anything, it was slimmer then my z70va! The weight of it was just terrifying! I picked it up and, I swear, it was lighter then my z70va! I expected it to be heavy but it wasn't even! I have to give my congratulations to ASUS engineers and proud w2v owners, the w2v is an AWESOME machine....

Hmm, I got off topic there for a second....But the picture of the comnparion will help you along the way.

    On with my story..

So, when I was looking around, checking out the LapCool 3, I asked the owner(Danny) if I could look at the ASUS laptops that were on showcase, and he said sure..

And, lo and behold, the Great Tower of ASUS!:

For thos who aren't sure what's what, from top to bottom:

    ASUS z33a
    ASUS w5a
    ASUS w3v
    ASUS z70va
    ASUS w2v
    ASUS z83v

    Enjoy!

I'd get a serial number on that Z83v on the bottom because I certainly wouldn't want to be the customer getting a laptop that had 27 pounds sitting on top of it like that..... great idea for a photo, but there are better ways of doing that.

    LOL!

I was wary of that too, but I checked the screen any everything, nothing was wrong.

    Go durability test? ;)

I absolutely love the hinge design on the W1/W1/V6 ... it's so sweet.

Yea, but with a price tag of $2000 CDN, or $1750~ USD, it's a great deal.

Oh yeah.... it totally dwarfs the W2 (which is a great thing for the W2).
